it_o must_v be_v command_v then_o the_o commandment_n which_o many_o time_n only_o detemine_v to_o that_o which_o be_v good_a and_o consequent_o determination_n do_v add_v unto_o the_o be_v of_o a_o moral_a law_n thesis_n 27._o there_o be_v scarce_o any_o thing_n but_o it_o be_v moral_o indifferent_a until_o it_o fall_v under_o some_o divine_a determination_n 114._o but_o divine_a determination_n of_o twofold_a 1._o of_o such_o thing_n which_o be_v not_o good_a fit_a or_o needful_a for_o man_n to_o observe_v without_o a_o command_n as_o sacrifice_n and_o sacrament_n and_o such_o like_v now_o we_o to_o observe_v any_o part_n of_o institute_v worship_n suppose_v sacrament_n or_o sacrifice_n yet_o such_o law_n be_v not_o moral_a although_o it_o be_v moral_a in_o general_a to_o worship_n god_n after_o his_o own_o will_n because_o the_o thing_n themselves_o be_v not_o good_a in_o themselves_o nor_o needful_a but_o if_o god_n shall_v determine_v we_o to_o observe_v a_o sabbath_n day_n this_o determination_n do_v not_o take_v away_o the_o morality_n of_o the_o command_n because_o it_o be_v good_a in_o itself_o to_o give_v god_n the_o meet_a and_o fit_a proportion_n of_o time_n for_o holy_a rest_n and_o the_o commandment_n declare_v that_o this_o seven_o part_n or_o so_o be_v such_o a_o time_n hence_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o this_o time_n be_v good_a in_o itself_o and_o therefore_o determination_n by_o the_o commandment_n in_o this_o case_n do_v not_o abolish_v the_o morality_n hereof_o it_o be_v a_o moral_a duty_n to_o pay_v tribute_n to_o caesar_n to_o give_v to_o it_o be_v here_o in_o the_o sabbath_n i_o do_v willing_o and_o free_o profess_v thus_o far_o with_o our_o adversary_n of_o the_o morality_n of_o the_o sabbath_n that_o it_o be_v a_o moral_a duty_n to_o give_v god_n some_o time_n and_o day_n of_o holy_a rest_n and_o worship_n as_o it_o be_v moral_a to_o give_v caesar_n his_o due_a and_o to_o pray_v to_o god_n but_o because_o we_o may_v give_v god_n too_o many_o day_n or_o too_o few_o hence_o the_o determination_n of_o the_o most_o meet_a and_o fit_a proportion_n of_o time_n and_o particular_o of_o this_o time_n make_v this_o and_o that_o also_o by_o external_a and_o not_o by_o internal_a worship_n also_o by_o natural_a worship_n in_o love_n and_o fear_n god_n etc._n etc._n and_o not_o with_o institute_v in_o the_o use_n of_o all_o god_n ordinance_n and_o that_o with_o all_o holy_a preparation_n and_o reverence_n also_o thesis_n 54._o the_o exercise_n of_o worship_n be_v one_o thing_n the_o worship_n itself_o be_v another_o it_o be_v most_o true_a that_o the_o holy_a exercise_n of_o all_o worship_n be_v here_o require_v but_o most_o false_a that_o the_o worship_n itself_o be_v so_o the_o worship_n itself_o be_v require_v in_o circumwance_n of_o time_n abstract_v and_o strip_v from_o all_o other_o consideration_n and_o so_o it_o be_v very_o absurd_a to_o imagine_v all_o the_o holy_a duty_n of_o the_o sabbath_n to_o be_v for_o the_o time_n as_o if_o god_n and_o all_o his_o holy_a worship_n shall_v give_v homage_n unto_o and_o attend_v upon_o a_o naked_a empty_a circumstance_n time_n in_o this_o respect_n be_v rather_o for_o the_o worship_n sake_n 2._o concrete_o as_o it_o be_v whole_o sanctify_a and_o set_v apart_o for_o god_n or_o as_o it_o be_v a_o holy_a time_n set_v a_o part_n for_o holy_a rest_n that_o so_o man_n may_v attend_v upon_o god_n and_o in_o this_o respect_n all_o holy_a duty_n be_v for_o this_o time_n because_o in_o this_o respect_n they_o be_v for_o god_n who_o be_v all_o in_o all_o in_o holy_a time_n and_o therefore_o wallaeus_n need_v not_o put_v we_o upon_o search_n to_o see_v whether_o the_o holy_a rest_n of_o the_o day_n be_v require_v in_o the_o second_o or_o any_o other_o command_n ibid._n for_o it_o be_v not_o affirm_v by_o any_o that_o the_o naked_a circumstance_n of_o time_n be_v here_o only_o require_v without_o any_o holy_a rest_n but_o that_o a_o holy_a time_n of_o rest_n be_v herein_o command_v and_o therefore_o to_o be_v refer_v to_o this_o command_n hence_o also_o it_o be_v most_o false_a which_o some_o affirm_v doâ—_n viz._n that_o the_o rest_n from_o therefore_o to_o attend_v and_o in_o this_o respect_n be_v for_o this_o time_n and_o not_o the_o time_n for_o they_o viz._n that_o when_o the_o time_n of_o the_o exercise_n of_o some_o holy_a duty_n do_v cease_v the_o time_n of_o holy_a rest_n or_o holy_a time_n must_v then_o cease_v also_o thesis_n 57_o nor_o shall_v it_o seem_v strange_a that_o holy_a duty_n shall_v attend_v holy_a time_n and_o be_v for_o the_o sake_n of_o such_o time_n because_o although_o it_o be_v true_a that_o this_o time_n be_v sanctify_v that_o man_n may_v perform_v holy_a duty_n yet_o man_n be_v now_o call_v to_o the_o performance_n of_o all_o holy_a duty_n that_o he_o may_v last_o honour_n god_n in_o all_o holiness_n in_o such_o a_o special_a time_n which_o time_n if_o any_o humane_a power_n only_o shall_v put_v any_o holiness_n in_o and_o it_o therefore_o shall_v be_v attend_v on_o what_o will_v it_o be_v else_o but_o a_o observe_n of_o day_n and_o time_n condemn_v by_o the_o apostle_n roman_n 14._o which_o be_v here_o direct_o command_v although_o it_o be_v true_a that_o both_o of_o they_o be_v herein_o indirect_o require_v viz._n in_o relation_n to_o the_o time_n thesis_n 63._o if_o therefore_o not_o lie_v only_o in_o that_o seven_o wherein_o then_o do_v it_o more_o general_o lie_v be_v it_o in_o a_o day_n more_o large_o or_o in_o a_o seven_o day_n more_o narrow_o now_o let_v any_o indifferent_a conscience_n be_v herein_o judge_n who_o they_o be_v that_o come_v near_a to_o the_o truth_n whether_o they_o that_o fly_v so_o far_o from_o the_o name_n seven_o which_o be_v express_o of_o god_n for_o god_n to_o take_v to_o himself_o man_n have_v the_o full_a and_o fit_a proportion_n of_o six_o day_n together_o for_o himself_o and_o because_o a_o seven_o be_v the_o fit_a proportion_n of_o time_n for_o god_n hence_o this_o or_o that_o individual_a and_o particular_a seven_o in_o the_o second_o place_n fall_v out_o to_o be_v moral_a because_o they_o contain_v the_o most_o equal_a and_o fit_a proportion_n of_o a_o seven_o day_n in_o they_o there_o be_v also_o another_o reason_n why_o that_o seven_o be_v sanctify_v viz._n god_n rest_n in_o it_o but_o this_o reason_n be_v not_o primary_n as_o have_v be_v say_v and_o of_o which_o now_o we_o speak_v 5._o because_o if_o no_o other_o commandment_n be_v in_o the_o decalogue_n but_o it_o be_v comprehensive_a seven_o therefore_o do_v you_o do_v the_o like_a 2._o to_o direct_v the_o people_n of_o god_n to_o that_o particular_a seven_o which_o for_o that_o time_n when_o the_o law_n be_v give_v god_n will_v that_o particular_a day_n which_o for_o that_o time_n it_o be_v grant_v it_o also_o point_a unto_o and_o therefore_o let_v the_o word_n in_o the_o commandment_n be_v observe_v and_o we_o shall_v find_v man_n duty_n 1._o more_o general_o set_v down_o viz._n to_o labour_v six_o day_n and_o dedicate_v the_o seven_o unto_o god_n and_o then_o follow_v god_n persuasion_n hereunto_o from_o his_o own_o example_n who_o when_o he_o have_v a_o world_n to_o make_v and_o work_v to_o do_v he_o do_v labour_v six_o day_n together_o and_o rest_v the_o seven_o and_o thus_o a_o man_n be_v bind_v to_o appoint_v for_o other_o and_o high_a end_n then_o to_o remember_v the_o six_o day_n work_n of_o god_n it_o be_v a_o moral_a duty_n to_o attend_v our_o calling_n therein_o so_o the_o seven_o day_n of_o rest_n be_v appoint_v for_o high_a and_o large_a end_n as_o didoclavius_n observe_v then_o only_o to_o remember_v that_o notable_a rest_n of_o god_n from_o all_o his_o work_n it_o be_v a_o moral_a duty_n to_o rest_v the_o seven_o day_n in_o all_o holiness_n thesis_n 133._o it_o be_v but_o accidental_a and_o not_o of_o the_o essence_n of_o the_o sabbath_n day_n that_o that_o particular_a seven_o from_o the_o creation_n shall_v be_v the_o sabbath_n for_o the_o seven_o day_n sabbath_n be_v to_o be_v man_n rest_n day_n it_o be_v therefore_o suitable_a to_o god_n wisdom_n to_o give_v man_n a_o description_n here_o thesis_n 197._o if_o we_o speak_v of_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n strict_o take_v for_o that_o which_o be_v immediate_o and_o ready_o know_v by_o the_o common_a light_n of_o evidence_n of_o scripture_n or_o any_o antiquity_n but_o the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n for_o 1._o there_o be_v no_o other_o day_n on_o which_o mention_n be_v make_v of_o any_o other_o work_n reference_n to_o any_o night_n before_o or_o after_o or_o to_o any_o part_n of_o the_o morning_n follow_v that_o night_n when_o it_o be_v probable_a they_o depart_v if_o they_o do_v stay_v with_o he_o
