of_o many_o particular_a appearance_n of_o providence_n do_v in_o a_o great_a measure_n depend_v upon_o a_o full_a view_n and_o comprehension_n of_o the_o whole_a design_n therefore_o we_o must_v or_o reputation_n to_o repair_v those_o who_o be_v ruin_v in_o their_o fortune_n and_o in_o a_o word_n to_o relieve_v and_o comfort_v those_o who_o be_v in_o any_o kind_n of_o calamity_n or_o distress_n all_o these_o be_v but_o the_o several_a branch_n and_o instance_n of_o this_o great_a duty_n here_o in_o the_o text_n of_o do_v good_a though_o it_o have_v in_o this_o place_n a_o more_o other_o can_v least_o pretend_v to_o it_o even_o our_o enemy_n and_o persecutor_n so_o that_o if_o the_o question_n be_v about_o the_o extent_n of_o our_o charity_n in_o general_n these_o two_o thing_n be_v plain_o enjoin_v by_o the_o christian_a religion_n 1._o negative_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o hate_v or_o bear_v ill-will_n to_o any_o man_n or_o do_v he_o any_o harm_n or_o mischief_n love_n work_v no_o evil_a to_o his_o neighbour_n say_v the_o apostle_n rom._n 13.10_o and_o this_o negative_a charity_n every_o man_n may_v exercise_v towards_o all_o man_n without_o exception_n and_o that_o equal_o because_o it_o do_v not_o signify_v any_o positive_a act_n but_o only_o that_o we_o abstain_v from_o enmity_n and_o hatred_n from_o injury_n and_o revenge_n which_o it_o be_v in_o to_o equal_v the_o example_n before_o he_o yet_o he_o will_v endeavour_v to_o come_v as_o near_o it_o as_o he_o can_v so_o that_o a_o perfect_a pattern_n be_v no_o hindrance_n but_o a_o advantage_n
