there_o be_v many_o distinct_a church_n in_o the_o same_o society_n for_o either_o the_o supreme_a authority_n have_v power_n over_o they_o all_o or_o over_o none_o at_o all_o if_o none_o at_o all_o curiosity_n to_o distinguish_v the_o limit_n of_o these_o two_o power_n the_o temporal_a and_o the_o spiritual_a now_o if_o we_o suppose_v several_a distinct_a independent_a church_n in_o one_o nation_n we_o must_v suppose_v they_o to_o have_v distinct_a form_n of_o government_n and_o it_o will_v be_v impossible_a for_o the_o prince_n to_o make_v any_o temporal_a law_n which_o some_o of_o they_o may_v not_o pretend_v be_v against_o their_o jurisdiction_n let_v it_o be_v to_o raise_v man_n or_o money_n for_o the_o common_a defence_n of_o all_o by_o war_n it_o may_v be_v a_o easy_a scruple_n whether_o the_o war_n be_v lawful_a whether_o that_o be_v his_o intention_n whether_o it_o be_v for_o the_o common_a benefit_n and_o according_a as_o these_o distinct_a church_n judge_v it_o lawful_a or_o religious_a safe_a or_o dangerous_a so_o shall_v he_o receive_v their_o assistance_n so_o far_o and_o no_o far_o go_v their_o obedience_n a_o too_o visible_a effect_n of_o which_o it_o be_v to_o be_v sear_v we_o have_v at_o present_a when_o these_o church_n and_o their_o jurisdiction_n be_v not_o by_o law_n permit_v and_o what_o may_v we_o expect_v if_o this_o power_n which_o they_o loose_v the_o substance_n for_o fear_n of_o the_o shadow_n refuse_v to_o eat_v good_a and_o wholesome_a diet_n because_o the_o dish_n be_v silver_n and_o too_o much_o garnish_v and_o by_o schism_n and_o disobedience_n run_v the_o hazard_n of_o his_o own_o soul_n and_o all_o those_o seduce_v by_o he_o mere_o to_o avoid_v the_o do_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o if_o he_o do_v they_o not_o in_o the_o least_o prejudice_n his_o salvation_n for_o these_o be_v only_o the_o condition_n of_o our_o maintain_v peace_n unity_n and_o charity_n but_o not_o the_o condition_n upon_o which_o our_o salvation_n depend_v because_o god_n have_v no_o where_o say_v he_o that_o do_v these_o thing_n shall_v be_v damn_v and_o he_o that_o abstain_v from_o they_o shall_v be_v save_v but_o he_o have_v say_v we_o must_v hear_v the_o church_n and_o if_o she_o command_v this_o for_o peace_n sake_n we_o must_v obey_v lest_o we_o be_v just_o esteem_v as_o publican_n and_o heathen_n beside_o they_o who_o command_n must_v answer_v to_o god_n for_o themselves_o and_o they_o who_o be_v to_o obey_v shall_v not_o answer_v for_o the_o error_n of_o their_o superior_n but_o no_o man_n can_v answer_v to_o the_o church_n may_v be_v preserve_v in_o peace_n and_o charity_n as_o to_o what_o be_v matter_n of_o faith_n essential_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n that_o god_n be_v the_o sole_a judge_n of_o himself_o and_o therefore_o it_o have_v by_o he_o long_o since_o be_v determine_v and_o receive_v in_o the_o church_n and_o what_o ever_o by_o all_o must_v be_v believe_v must_v be_v easy_a by_o all_o to_o be_v know_v and_o be_v therefore_o plain_o set_v forth_o in_o holy_a scripture_n nor_o can_v any_o be_v judge_n of_o this_o but_o what_o can_v err_v or_o deceive_v we_o which_o be_v only_o god_n and_o to_o say_v the_o church_n be_v the_o judge_n of_o this_o and_o that_o it_o can_v err_v because_o the_o catholic_a church_n do_v not_o err_v be_v to_o argue_v fallacious_o à _fw-la non_fw-la themselves_o my_o lead_n we_o into_o error_n too_o and_o therefore_o god_n who_o speak_v to_o we_o in_o scripture_n be_v only_o the_o judge_n of_o what_o be_v matter_n of_o faith_n and_o what_o not_o and_o it_o be_v to_o be_v try_v by_o that_o rule_n and_o no_o authority_n have_v power_n to_o impose_v any_o thing_n as_o matter_n of_o faith_n essential_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n but_o what_o be_v there_o to_o be_v find_v the_o harmony_n of_o the_o universal_a church_n that_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v offer_v as_o matter_n of_o faith_n be_v agreeable_a to_o scripture_n be_v in_o thing_n not_o clear_a and_o
