day_n this_o be_v alive_a conscience_n now_o that_o this_o be_v the_o live_a conscience_n i_o prove_v it_o unto_o you_o by_o five_o argument_n 1._o because_o conscience_n be_v make_v not_o only_o to_o do_v all_o these_o 1_o act_n but_o to_o make_v a_o man_n to_o do_v he_o so_o that_o when_o conscience_n do_v its_o own_o act_n never_o so_o much_o that_o be_v nothing_o to_o the_o life_n of_o conscience_n do_v thy_o conscience_n check_v thou_o and_o smite_v thou_o do_v it_o whisper_v never_o so_o much_o in_o thou_o this_o be_v no_o argument_n it_o be_v alive_a except_o it_o make_v thou_o to_o be_v obedient_a unto_o god_n conscience_n be_v give_v man_n for_o this_o purpose_n and_o therefore_o then_o only_o be_v it_o alive_a when_o it_o be_v for_o this_o purpose_n in_o thy_o bosom_n when_o david_n will_v get_v up_o out_o of_o his_o temptation_n you_o may_v see_v how_o he_o get_v up_o by_o conscience_n i_o commune_v with_o my_o own_o heart_n and_o my_o spirit_n say_v he_o make_v diligent_a search_n psal_n 77._o 6._o that_o be_v he_o commune_v with_o his_o conscience_n what_o he_o know_v about_o god_n and_o so_o get_v himself_o up_o this_o be_v thy_o conscience_n office_n to_o that_o i_o be_o most_o incline_v to_o i_o must_v keep_v myself_o from_o that_o thus_o his_o conscience_n be_v his_o keeper_n under_o god_n second_o another_o argument_n be_v because_o this_o be_v duty_n he_o make_v his_o conscience_n press_v it_o sound_o upon_o he_o to_o do_v it_o so_o when_o he_o will_v wait_v upon_o god_n he_o set_v his_o own_o soul_n and_o conscience_n upon_o he_o to_o make_v he_o to_o do_v it_o wait_v on_o the_o lord_n be_v of_o good_a courage_n he_o will_v strengthen_v thy_o heart_n wait_v i_o say_v upon_o the_o lord_n psal_n 27._o 14._o three_o another_o argument_n be_v this_o be_v the_o description_n of_o 3_o those_o that_o have_v a_o live_v conscience_n they_o be_v such_o as_o make_v themselves_o do_v their_o duty_n continual_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v he_o that_o have_v this_o hope_n in_o he_o purisi_v himself_o even_o as_o he_o be_v pure_a 1_o joh._n 3._o 3._o that_o be_v he_o be_v a_o man_n that_o make_v himself_o do_v his_o duty_n his_o be_v when_o god_n speak_v to_o 4_o any_o that_o be_v alive_a from_o the_o dead_a to_o do_v their_o duty_n towards_o he_o he_o bid_v they_o make_v themselves_o to_o do_v their_o duty_n on_o this_o manner_n so_o saint_n paul_n say_v have_v these_o promise_n let_v we_o cleanse_v ourselves_o from_o all_o filthiness_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n perfect_a holiness_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n 2_o cor._n 7._o 1._o that_o be_v go_v and_o ask_v your_o own_o soul_n and_o conscience_n what_o have_v i_o not_o these_o and_o these_o promise_n why_o than_o i_o must_v labour_v to_o be_v cleanse_v from_o all_o manner_n of_o sin_n i_o must_v perfect_a holiness_n in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n now_o say_v he_o let_v we_o make_v ourselves_o do_v our_o duty_n thus_o nay_o five_o when_o god_n speak_v to_o they_o which_o be_v yet_o 5_o dead_a and_o will_v turn_v they_o home_o unto_o he_o he_o bid_v they_o do_v thus_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o mean_n turn_v yourselves_o and_o live_v you_o ezek._n 18._o 32._o that_o be_v let_v your_o own_o soul_n and_o conscience_n consider_v this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o live_v you_o can_v be_v save_v without_o turn_v as_o ever_o i_o will_v live_v for_o ever_o i_o must_v be_v turn_v from_o all_o my_o sinful_a course_n make_v yourselves_o do_v your_o duty_n in_o this_o manner_n that_o be_v use_v all_o the_o mean_n that_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v you_o to_o use_v make_v yourselves_o go_v about_o it_o not_o as_o though_o any_o man_n have_v free_a will_n to_o turn_v himself_o but_o he_o speak_v of_o the_o use_n of_o all_o mean_n that_o he_o put_v into_o your_o hand_n make_v yourselves_o to_o use_v they_o nay_o no_o soul_n can_v ever_o look_v to_o be_v save_v except_o he_o do_v not_o only_o let_v his_o conscience_n check_v he_o and_o tell_v he_o thus_o and_o thus_o his_o duty_n be_v but_o also_o let_v his_o conscience_n make_v he_o do_v his_o duty_n too_o so_o that_o this_o must_v needs_o be_v the_o life_n of_o the_o conscience_n when_o it_o do_v not_o only_o do_v its_o own_o duty_n to_o check_v and_o to_o whisper_v but_o also_o it_o make_v a_o man_n to_o do_v he_o the_o use_n of_o this_o be_v first_o than_o we_o see_v here_o how_o few_o have_v 1_o live_v conscience_n for_o people_n have_v conscience_n that_o do_v only_o tell_v they_o they_o shall_v be_v more_o careful_a they_o shall_v give_v over_o such_o and_o such_o of_o the_o mind_n be_v second_o what_o the_o life_n of_o the_o heart_n be_v three_o what_o the_o life_n of_o the_o conscience_n be_v now_o there_o remain_v two_o more_o the_o one_o be_v the_o life_n of_o the_o memory_n the_o other_o be_v the_o life_n of_o the_o affection_n four_o then_o what_o be_v the_o life_n of_o the_o memory_n for_o the_o 4_o memory_n too_o may_v be_v dead_a and_o the_o memory_n may_v be_v alive_a first_o the_o memory_n may_v be_v dead_a when_o a_o man_n may_v be_v 1._o remember_v if_o you_o ask_v he_o a_o thing_n he_o can_v tell_v it_o ask_v he_o of_o a_o sermon_n
