providence_n of_o god_n shall_v offer_v to_o we_o s._n how_o will_v this_o be_v best_a do_v c._n by_o a_o yearly_a valuation_n of_o my_o income_n whether_o of_o rent_n or_o gain_n by_o trade_v and_o set_v a_o part_n a_o reasonable_a proportion_n of_o that_o and_o then_o divide_v that_o gross_a proportion_n into_o as_o many_o part_n as_o there_o be_v week_n in_o the_o year_n and_o then_o every_o our_o lawful_a governor_n king_n and_o all_o that_o be_v in_o authority_n spiritual_a or_o civil_a the_o four_o be_v the_o return_v our_o acknowledgement_n to_o god_n for_o all_o 〈◊〉_d benefit_n particular_a urgency_n etc._n etc._n be_v by_o we_o solemn_o observe_v also_o according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o the_o church_n wherein_o we_o live_v in_o like_a manner_n as_o the_o jew_n observe_v their_o day_n appoint_v they_o by_o law_n 3._o that_o no_o man_n omit_v to_o perform_v this_o duty_n at_o least_o morning_n and_o evening_n every_o day_n this_o be_v solemn_o require_v of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n direct_v by_o the_o law_n of_o piety_n to_o begin_v and_o close_a all_o with_o prayer_n which_o the_o very_a heathen_n can_v judge_v necessary_a and_o be_v the_o least_o that_o can_v be_v mean_v by_o that_o precept_n of_o the_o apostle_n of_o pray_v without_o cease_v or_o continual_o which_o be_v think_v by_o many_o to_o extend_v no_o far_o then_o in_o proportion_n to_o the_o daily_a sacrifice_n among_o the_o jew_n which_o be_v constant_o every_o morning_n and_o evening_n but_o by_o none_o interpret_v or_o conceive_v interpretable_a to_o any_o low_a proportion_n yet_o because_o two_o consideration_n there_o be_v which_o make_v this_o excess_n in_o the_o quality_n or_o delicacy_n to_o be_v unagreeable_a to_o the_o composition_n of_o the_o gospell-rule_a of_o life_n i_o can_v but_o say_v that_o this_o kind_n of_o sobriety_n be_v command_v also_o and_o the_o contrary_a habit_n to_o it_o a_o fin_n s._n what_o be_v those_o two_o consideration_n c._n 1._o the_o hope_n of_o eternal_a life_n and_o endless_a spiritual_a joy_n that_o be_v propose_v to_o we_o in_o the_o new_a testament_n which_o if_o they_o be_v ever_o suffer_v to_o enter_v into_o and_o fill_v our_o heart_n will_v produce_v a_o disesteem_v and_o mean_v opinion_n and_o in_o time_n a_o contempt_n and_o scorn_n of_o all_o carnal_a delight_n and_o pleasure_n a_o use_v the_o pleasant_a part_n as_o well_o as_o the_o profitable_a of_o the_o world_n as_o if_o we_o use_v it_o not_o and_o so_o we_o may_v have_v food_n convenient_a for_o we_o a_o notcare_v for_o any_o choice_n or_o superfluity_n a_o abstain_v purposely_o from_o all_o supervacaneous_a pleasure_n the_o second_o consideration_n be_v the_o duty_n of_o charity_n and_o liberality_n to_o our_o poor_a brethren_n require_v of_o we_o and_o so_o recommend_v to_o we_o in_o the_o gospel_n in_o which_o he_o that_o fare_v delicious_o and_o take_v care_v not_o only_o for_o the_o preserve_n of_o the_o health_n and_o strength_n but_o also_o for_o the_o please_a and_o entertain_v of_o his_o palate_n will_v be_v less_o able_a to_o discharge_v his_o duty_n that_o supervacaneous_a pleasure_n bring_v a_o superfluous_a expense_n and_o charge_n along_o with_o it_o these_o two_o consideration_n make_v it_o very_o hardly_o separable_a from_o sin_n for_o any_o man_n to_o allow_v himself_o this_o 2_o kind_n of_o excess_n though_o i_o shall_v not_o pronounce_v damnation_n on_o he_o that_o be_v guilty_a of_o it_o 1._o because_o i_o do_v not_o find_v in_o the_o new_a testament_n any_o particular_a direct_a immediate_a command_n against_o it_o 2._o because_o the_o virtue_n of_o sobriety_n especial_o in_o this_o 2_o sort_n consist_v not_o in_o any_o one_o point_n indivisible_a so_o that_o he_o that_o eat_v this_o want_v partake_v of_o other_o plenty_n in_o the_o same_o common_a meal_n contrary_a to_o the_o every_o man_n his_o own_o supper_n where_o for_o one_o to_o be_v drunken_a i._n e._n to_o eat_v or_o for_o 1._o the_o devil_n will_v never_o assist_v he_o or_o put_v he_o upon_o false_a doctrine_n to_o such_o a_o end_n to_o bring_v more_o holiness_n and_o christian_a practice_n into_o the_o world_n 2._o such_o holy_a christian_a practice_n be_v not_o easy_o build_v upon_o any_o false_a doctrine_n 3._o if_o the_o doctrine_n shall_v chance_v to_o be_v false_a that_o bring_v forth_o such_o
