god_n but_o how_o shall_v a_o man_n starve_v in_o this_o mercy_n if_o a_o way_n can_v be_v conceive_v and_o a_o mean_n can_v be_v propound_v for_o another_o supply_n to_o the_o soul_n to_o fill_v up_o the_o necessity_n of_o it_o this_o will_v be_v see_v in_o the_o next_o particular_a i_o say_v herein_o appear_v more_o fullness_n of_o mercy_n it_o be_v not_o only_o sufficient_a to_o relieve_v a_o man_n in_o all_o the_o misery_n that_o can_v befall_v he_o but_o this_o be_v another_o thing_n consider_v mercy_n be_v able_a to_o make_v thou_o partake_v in_o the_o same_o mercy_n god_n do_v not_o leave_v thou_o to_o thyself_o that_o thou_o shall_v buy_v it_o and_o purchase_v it_o and_o buy_v it_o and_o procure_v it_o but_o mercy_n be_v able_a to_o suffice_v thy_o soul_n that_o thou_o may_v be_v refresh_v thereby_o this_o be_v the_o tenor_n of_o mercy_n god_n require_v of_o a_o man_n that_o he_o shall_v believe_v now_o mercy_n do_v help_v to_o perform_v the_o duty_n command_v the_o that_o the_o soul_n shall_v rest_v upon_o he_o and_o he_o make_v he_o also_o to_o do_v it_o he_o require_v the_o soul_n to_o cleave_v unto_o he_o ezek._n 36.26_o 27._o there_o be_v the_o tenor_n of_o this_o covenant_n a_o new_a heart_n will_v i_o give_v you_o and_o a_o new_a spirit_n i_o will_v put_v within_o you_o and_o i_o will_v take_v away_o your_o stony_a heart_n and_o give_v you_o a_o professor_n and_o yet_o be_v a_o secret_a drunkard_n first_o he_o see_v his_o evil_n and_o confess_v it_o to_o god_n and_o pray_v against_o it_o in_o the_o morning_n yet_o he_o will_v venture_v into_o effectual_o upon_o thy_o soul_n and_o have_v thy_o heart_n be_v enlarge_v with_o desire_n after_o the_o mercy_n which_o god_n offer_v when_o thou_o have_v good_a exhortation_n admonition_n and_o many_o sweet_a promise_n make_v know_v unto_o thou_o thou_o will_v not_o go_v among_o thief_n and_o robber_n that_o shall_v deprive_v thou_o of_o the_o comfort_n which_o thy_o soul_n have_v receive_v from_o the_o word_n sort_v of_o lazy_a hypocrite_n 4_o the_o four_o sort_n be_v those_o who_o though_o some_o duty_n be_v prescribe_v and_o some_o particular_a service_n reveal_v to_o they_o and_o exact_v from_o they_o by_o the_o minister_n yet_o they_o will_v not_o set_v upon_o any_o duty_n but_o careless_o cast_v it_o off_o and_o not_o attend_v thereunto_o these_o never_o attain_v any_o sound_a desire_n in_o their_o soul_n i_o do_v not_o say_v he_o that_o omit_v a_o duty_n upon_o occasion_n either_o out_o of_o temptation_n surprise_v he_o or_o occasion_n prevail_v but_o when_o a_o remain_v in_o it_o as_o the_o philosopher_n conceive_v for_o pluck_v the_o fire_n from_o the_o water_n or_o the_o water_n from_o the_o fire_n and_o it_o will_v return_v to_o coldness_n again_o and_o freeze_v the_o soon_o because_o when_o it_o be_v take_v from_o the_o fire_n it_o beat_v out_o the_o heat_n with_o the_o more_o violence_n now_o the_o reason_n why_o the_o cold_a be_v there_o and_o yet_o not_o perceive_v be_v because_o the_o fierceness_n of_o the_o heat_n do_v overmaster_v it_o and_o make_v it_o retire_v and_o not_o express_v itself_o in_o outward_a appearance_n so_o it_o be_v with_o this_o terrify_a hypocrite_n in_o these_o pang_n of_o extremity_n and_o horror_n of_o conscience_n when_o the_o soul_n be_v possess_v with_o the_o fierce_a indignation_n of_o the_o almighty_a when_o the_o flash_n of_o everlasting_a vengeance_n seize_v upon_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o sinner_n this_o take_v off_o the_o pleasure_n delight_n and_o content_n which_o the_o heart_n have_v in_o sin_n though_o the_o soul_n love_v it_o and_o the_o heart_n embrace_v it_o and_o the_o spirit_n close_o with_o it_o yet_o he_o can_v find_v and_o feel_v in_o his_o own_o apprehension_n no_o pleasure_n at_o all_o in_o sin_n nor_o no_o sweetness_n in_o his_o lust_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o domineer_a vengeance_n of_o the_o lord_n which_o take_v off_o all_o the_o pleasantness_n that_o be_v in_o it_o before_o and_o therefore_o the_o adulterer_n that_o have_v his_o dalliance_n every_o morning_n if_o god_n let_v the_o flame_n of_o his_o vengeance_n once_o into_o his_o soul_n as_o he_o have_v flame_v in_o lust_n all_o his_o sweetness_n and_o delight_n in_o sin_n will_v vanish_v away_o in_o his_o own_o apprehension_n but_o yet_o his_o soul_n cleave_v to_o his_o base_a lust_n still_o and_o his_o fawn_n and_o flatter_v and_o pretend_v to_o do_v great_a kindness_n and_o they_o profess_v they_o be_v at_o your_o command_n to_o serve_v you_o to_o do_v what_o you_o will_v and_o perform_v what_o you_o please_v but_o try_v they_o and_o prove_v they_o and_o you_o shall_v find_v it_o otherwise_o they_o will_v not_o open_o profess_v that_o they_o will_v not_o do_v the_o thing_n but_o when_o all_o
