continue_v by_o reason_n of_o death_n they_o be_v die_v man_n and_o how_o well_o soever_o they_o discharge_v the_o duty_n of_o their_o place_n yet_o in_o a_o few_o year_n they_o leave_v it_o to_o those_o that_o survive_v they_o and_o know_v it_o no_o more_o themselves_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o old_a testament_n have_v their_o appoint_a time_n when_o their_o breath_n go_v forth_o and_o return_v not_o again_o as_o you_o find_v that_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n have_v now_o in_o their_o generation_n but_o ver_fw-la 24._o this_o man_n or_o this_o christ_n the_o anoint_v of_o the_o lord_n who_o the_o apostle_n here_o speak_v of_o for_o the_o word_n man_n be_v not_o in_o the_o original_a but_o supply_v by_o our_o translator_n because_o he_o continue_v ever_o ii_o into_o the_o evidence_n which_o he_o prove_v it_o by_o the_o eternal_a life_n and_o intercession_n of_o christ_n in_o heaven_n with_o the_o distinct_a uses_n which_o may_v be_v make_v of_o both_o these_o i._o as_o to_o the_o thing_n which_o the_o apostle_n here_o set_v himself_o to_o prove_v viz._n the_o infinite-saving_a power_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n the_o text_n itself_o will_v lead_v we_o to_o the_o open_n of_o two_o thing_n under_o this_o head_n the_o nature_n of_o this_o power_n and_o the_o extent_n of_o it_o how_o he_o be_v able_a to_o save_v and_o how_o far_o even_o to_o the_o uttermost_a first_o with_o reference_n to_o the_o nature_n of_o this_o power_n how_o be_v christ_n able_a to_o save_v this_o may_n may_v be_v state_v in_o the_o follow_a proposition_n 1._o there_o be_v a_o power_n which_o belong_v to_o christ_n as_o he_o be_v god_n in_o this_o as_o in_o all_o other_o divine_a perfection_n the_o second_o person_n be_v equal_a with_o the_o first_o rev._n 1.8_o i_o be_o the_o almighty_a the_o very_a same_o unlimited_a boundless_a power_n appertain_v both_o to_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n therefore_o when_o christ_n have_v assert_v that_o none_o shall_v pluck_v his_o sheep_n out_o of_o his_o hand_n john_n 10.28_o he_o confirm_v it_o by_o this_o that_o his_o father_n be_v great_a than_o all_o and_o none_o be_v able_a to_o pluck_v they_o out_o of_o the_o father_n hand_n ver_fw-la 29._o now_o if_o any_o shall_v go_v about_o to_o deny_v the_o consequence_n the_o next_o word_n will_v clear_v it_o i_o and_o my_o father_n be_v one_o ver_fw-la 30._o faith_n and_o a_o great_a support_n to_o believer_n do_v not_o seem_v to_o be_v that_o which_o the_o apostle_n have_v so_o much_o a_o eye_n to_o in_o this_o place_n for_o he_o be_v now_o speak_v of_o his_o ability_n to_o save_v
