drunkenness_n and_o many_o delight_n for_o in_o much_o delicacy_n there_o be_v folly_n and_o many_o pleasure_n be_v needless_a to_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n such_o lust_a therefore_o be_v evil_a large_a flock_n and_o his_o sheep_n be_v full_a of_o pleasure_n and_o in_o much_o delight_n and_o cheerfulness_n and_o they_o run_v here_o and_o there_o as_o it_o be_v rejoice_v and_o the_o shepherd_n take_v very_o great_a satisfaction_n in_o his_o flock_n and_o the_o countenance_n of_o that_o shepherd_n be_v cheerful_a run_v up_o and_o down_o among_o his_o flock_n ii_o than_o the_o angel_n say_v no_o return_n by_o repentance_n unto_o life_n because_o that_o to_o their_o other_o sin_n they_o have_v add_v this_o that_o they_o have_v blaspheme_v the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n these_o kind_n of_o man_n be_v ordain_v unto_o death_n but_o those_o sheep_n which_o thou_o see_v not_o leap_v for_o joy_n but_o feed_v in_o one_o place_n be_v such_o as_o have_v indeed_o give_v themselves_o up_o to_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n but_o have_v not_o speak_v any_o thing_n wicked_o against_o the_o lord_n these_o have_v not_o depart_v from_o the_o truth_n and_o therefore_o have_v yet_o hope_v lay_v up_o for_o they_o in_o repentance_n for_o such_o a_o defection_n have_v some_o hope_n still_o leave_v of_o a_o renewal_a but_o they_o that_o be_v dead_a be_v utter_o go_v for_o ever_o again_o we_o go_v a_o little_o far_a forward_a and_o he_o show_v i_o a_o great_a shepherd_n who_o have_v as_o it_o be_v a_o wild_a figure_n clad_v with_o a_o white_a goat_n skin_n have_v his_o bag_n upon_o his_o shoulder_n and_o in_o his_o hand_n a_o stick_v full_a of_o knot_n and_o very_o hard_a and_o a_o whip_n in_o his_o other_o hand_n and_o his_o countenance_n be_v stern_a and_o sour_a enough_o to_o affright_v a_o man_n such_o be_v his_o look_n he_o take_v from_o that_o young_a shepherd_n such_o sheep_n as_o live_v in_o pleasure_n but_o do_v not_o skip_v up_o and_o down_o and_o drive_v they_o into_o a_o certain_a steep_n craggy_a place_n full_a of_o thorn_n and_o briar_n insomuch_o that_o they_o can_v not_o get_v themselves_o free_a from_o they_o but_o be_v entangle_v in_o they_o feed_v upon_o thorn_n and_o briar_n and_o be_v grievous_o torment_v with_o his_o whip_n for_o he_o still_o drive_v they_o on_o nor_o afford_v they_o any_o place_n or_o time_n to_o stand_v still_o iii_o when_o therefore_o i_o see_v they_o so_o cruel_o whip_v and_o afflict_v i_o be_v grieve_v for_o they_o because_o they_o be_v great_o torment_v nor_o have_v they_o any_o rest_v afford_v they_o and_o i_o say_v other_o suffer_v injury_n from_o those_o that_o be_v unworthy_a other_o fall_v under_o many_o other_o trial_n and_o inconvenience_n many_o with_o a_o unsettle_a design_n aim_v at_o many_o thing_n and_o it_o profit_v they_o not_o and_o they_o say_v that_o they_o have_v not_o success_n in_o their_o undertake_n these_o thing_n call_v to_o their_o mind_n what_o they_o have_v do_v amiss_o and_o they_o complain_v of_o the_o lord_n when_o therefore_o they_o shall_v have_v undergon_v all_o kind_n of_o vexation_n and_o inconveniency_n then_o they_o be_v deliver_v over_o to_o i_o for_o good_a instruction_n and_o be_v confirm_v in_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o serve_v the_o lord_n all_o the_o rest_n of_o their_o life_n with_o a_o pure_a mind_n and_o when_o they_o begin_v to_o repent_v of_o their_o sin_n than_o they_o call_v to_o mind_v their_o work_n which_o they_o have_v do_v amiss_o and_o give_v honour_n to_o god_n say_v that_o he_o be_v a_o just_a judge_n and_o that_o they_o have_v deserve_o suffer_v all_o thing_n according_a to_o their_o deed_n and_o for_o what_o remain_v of_o their_o life_n they_o serve_v god_n with_o a_o pure_a mind_n and_o have_v success_n in_o all_o their_o undertake_n and_o receive_v from_o the_o lord_n whatever_o they_o desire_v and_o then_o they_o give_v thanks_o unto_o the_o lord_n that_o they_o be_v deliver_v unto_o i_o nor_o do_v seven_o time_n as_o much_o punishment_n he_o answer_v i_o thou_o be_v foolish_a neither_o understand_v thou_o the_o efficacy_n of_o this_o kind_n of_o punishment_n i_o say_v unto_o he_o sir_n if_o i_o understand_v it_o i_o will_v not_o desire_v you_o to_o tell_v i_o harken_v say_v he_o and_o learn_v what_o the_o force_n of_o both_o be_v both_o of_o the_o pleasure_n and_o of_o the_o punishment_n a_o hour_n of_o pleasure_n be_v terminate_v within_o its_o own_o space_n but_o one_o hour_n of_o punishment_n have_v the_o efficacy_n of_o thirty_o day_n viij_o whosoever_o therefore_o enjoy_v his_o
false_a pleasure_n for_o one_o day_n and_o be_v one_o day_n torment_v that_o one_o day_n of_o punishment_n be_v equivalent_a to_o a_o whole_a year_n space_n thus_o look_v how_o many_o day_n any_o one_o pursue_v his_o pleasure_n so_o many_o year_n be_v he_o punish_v for_o it_o you_o see_v therefore_o how_o that_o the_o time_n of_o worldly_a enjoyment_n be_v but_o short_a but_o that_o of_o be_v root_v in_o they_o but_o when_o pain_n and_o torment_n befall_v a_o man_n a_o day_n he_o be_v in_o effect_n trouble_v the_o whole_a year_n after_o because_o his_o punishment_n continue_v firm_a in_o his_o memory_n wherefore_o he_o remember_v it_o with_o sorrow_n the_o whole_a year_n and_o then_o call_v to_o mind_v his_o vain_a pleasure_n and_o delight_n and_o perceive_v that_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o that_o he_o be_v punish_v whosoever_o therefore_o have_v deliver_v themselves_o over_o to_o such_o pleasure_n be_v thus_o punish_v because_o that_o when_o they_o have_v life_n they_o reach_v out_o to_o the_o people_n that_o be_v under_o the_o shadow_n of_o that_o willow_n little_a rod_n as_o it_o be_v about_o a_o foot_n long_o and_o when_o all_o of_o they_o have_v take_v they_o he_o lay_v aside_o his_o hook_n and_o the_o tree_n continue_v entire_a as_o i_o have_v before_o see_v it_o at_o which_o i_o wonder_v and_o muse_v within_o myself_o then_o that_o shepherd_n say_v green_n and_o all_o these_o be_v set_v every_o one_o in_o his_o own_o rank_n then_o they_o reach_v in_o their_o rod_n who_o have_v they_o before_o a_o three_o part_n green_n and_o the_o rest_n dry_a their_o rod_n be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n find_v green_a have_v little_a bough_n with_o fruit_n upon_o they_o and_o the_o rest_n altogether_o green_n and_o the_o shepherd_n upon_o sight_n of_o these_o rejoice_v exceed_o because_o he_o have_v sound_v they_o thus_o and_o they_o also_o go_v to_o their_o proper_a order_n vi_o now_o after_o he_o have_v examine_v all_o their_o rod_n he_o say_v unto_o i_o i_o tell_v thou_o that_o this_o tree_n love_v life_n thou_o see_v how_o many_o have_v repent_v and_o attain_v unto_o salvation_n sir_n say_v i_o i_o see_v it_o that_o thou_o may_v know_v their_o crime_n have_v also_o blaspheme_v the_o lord_n and_o deny_v his_o name_n which_o be_v call_v upon_o they_o therefore_o all_o these_o be_v dead_a unto_o god_n and_o thou_o see_v that_o none_o of_o they_o have_v repent_v although_o they_o have_v hear_v my_o command_n which_o thou_o have_v deliver_v unto_o they_o from_o these_o man_n therefore_o life_n be_v far_o distant_a and_o they_o also_o who_o have_v deliver_v up_o their_o rod_n dry_v but_o not_o rot_a have_v not_o be_v far_o from_o they_o for_o they_o have_v be_v counterfeit_v and_o bring_v in_o evil-doctrine_n and_o have_v pervert_v the_o servant_n of_o god_n and_o especial_o those_o who_o have_v sin_v not_o suffer_v they_o to_o return_v unto_o repentance_n but_o keep_v they_o back_o by_o their_o false_a doctrine_n these_o therefore_o have_v hope_n and_o thou_o see_v that_o many_o of_o they_o have_v repent_v since_o the_o time_n that_o thou_o have_v lay_v my_o command_n before_o they_o and_o many_o more_o will_v yet_o repent_v but_o they_o that_o shall_v not_o repent_v both_o they_o have_v lose_v patience_n and_o shall_v lose_v their_o life_n but_o they_o that_o have_v repent_v their_o place_n be_v begin_v to_o be_v within_o the_o first_o wall_n and_o some_o of_o they_o be_v even_o go_v into_o the_o tower_n thou_o see_v therefore_o say_v he_o that_o in_o the_o repentance_n of_o sinner_n there_o be_v repent_v shall_v have_v a_o place_n in_o the_o tower_n but_o they_o who_o have_v be_v more_o slow_a in_o their_o repentance_n shall_v dwell_v within_o the_o wall_n but_o they_o that_o shall_v not_o repent_v but_o shall_v continue_v on_o in_o their_o wicked_a do_n shall_v die_v the_o death_n as_o for_o those_o who_o have_v their_o rod_n green_a but_o yet_o cleave_v they_o be_v such_o as_o be_v always_o faithful_a and_o good_a but_o who_o have_v some_o envy_n and_o strife_n among_o themselves_o concern_v dignity_n and_o pre-eminence_n now_o all_o such_o be_v vain_a and_o without_o understanding_n as_o contend_v with_o one_o another_o about_o these_o thing_n nevertheless_o see_v they_o be_v otherwise_o good_a if_o when_o they_o shall_v hear_v these_o command_v they_o shall_v amend_v themselves_o and_o shall_v at_o my_o persuasion_n sudden_o repent_v they_o shall_v forthwith_o begin_v to_o dwell_v in_o the_o tower_n as_o they_o who_o have_v true_o and_o worthy_o repent_v of_o his_o spirit_n xxv_o as_o concern_v the_o eight_o mountain_n in_o which_o be_v a_o great_a many_o spring_n by_o which_o every_o kind_n of_o all_o the_o creature_n of_o god_n be_v water_v they_o be_v such_o as_o have_v believe_v the_o apostle_n which_o the_o lord_n send_v into_o all_o the_o world_n to_o preach_v and_o some_o teacher_n who_o have_v preach_v and_o teach_v pure_o and_o sincere_o and_o have_v not_o in_o the_o least_o yield_v to_o any_o evil_a desire_n but_o have_v constant_o walk_v in_o righteousness_n and_o truth_n these_o therefore_o have_v their_o conversation_n among_o the_o angel_n xxvi_o again_o as_o for_o what_o concern_v the_o nine_o mountain_n which_o be_v desert_n and_o full_a of_o serpent_n they_o be_v such_o as_o have_v believe_v but_o have_v many_o stain_n these_o be_v such_o minister_n as_o discharge_v their_o ministry_n amiss_o ravish_v away_o the_o good_n of_o the_o widow_n and_o fatherless_a and_o serve_v themselves_o not_o other_o out_o of_o those_o thing_n which_o they_o have_v receive_v these_o if_o they_o continue_v in_o this_o covetousness_n shall_v deliver_v themselves_o unto_o death_n nor_o shall_v there_o be_v any_o hope_n of_o life_n for_o they_o but_o if_o they_o shall_v be_v convert_v and_o shall_v discharge_v their_o ministry_n sincere_o they_o may_v live_v as_o for_o those_o which_o be_v find_v rough_a they_o be_v such_o as_o have_v deny_v the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o not_o return_v again_o to_o the_o lord_n but_o have_v become_v savage_a and_o wild_a not_o apply_v themselves_o to_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n but_o be_v separate_v from_o they_o have_v for_o the_o sake_n of_o a_o little_a anxiety_n lose_v their_o life_n for_o as_o a_o vine_n that_o be_v forsake_v in_o a_o hedge_n and_o never_o dress_v perish_v and_o be_v choke_v by_o the_o weed_n and_o in_o time_n become_v wild_a and_o cease_v to_o be_v useful_a to_o its_o lord_n so_o this_o kind_n of_o man_n despair_v of_o themselves_o and_o be_v make_v sour_a have_v begin_v to_o be_v unprofitable_a to_o their_o lord_n howbeit_o to_o these_o there_o be_v at_o last_o repentance_n allow_v if_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v find_v from_o their_o heart_n to_o have_v deny_v christ_n but_o if_o any_o of_o these_o shall_v be_v find_v to_o have_v deny_v he_o from_o his_o heart_n i_o can_v tell_v whether_o such_o a_o one_o can_v attain_v unto_o life_n and_o i_o say_v therefore_o that_o if_o in_o these_o day_n any_o one_o have_v deny_v he_o shall_v return_v unto_o repentance_n for_o it_o can_v be_v that_o any_o one_o who_o now_o deny_v the_o lord_n can_v afterward_o attain_v unto_o salvation_n nevertheless_o repentance_n be_v propose_v unto_o they_o who_o have_v former_o deny_v but_o he_o who_o will_v repent_v must_v hasten_v on_o his_o repentance_n before_o the_o building_n of_o this_o tower_n be_v finish_v or_o if_o not_o he_o shall_v be_v deliver_v by_o those_o woman_n unto_o death_n but_o they_o that_o be_v maim_v be_v the_o deceitful_a and_o those_o who_o mix_v one_o with_o another_o these_o be_v the_o serpent_n that_o you_o see_v in_o that_o mountain_n for_o as_o the_o poison_n of_o serpent_n be_v deadly_a unto_o man_n so_o the_o word_n of_o such_o person_n infect_v and_o destroy_v men._n they_o be_v therefore_o maim_v in_o their_o faith_n by_o reason_n of_o that_o kind_n of_o life_n in_o which_o they_o lead_v believe_v and_o some_o of_o they_o be_v bishop_n that_o be_v governor_n of_o the_o church_n other_o be_v such_o stone_n as_o have_v not_o feign_o but_o with_o a_o cheerful_a mind_n entertain_v the_o servant_n of_o god_n then_o such_o as_o have_v be_v set_v over_o inferior_a ministry_n and_o have_v protect_v the_o poor_a and_o the_o widow_n and_o have_v always_o keep_v a_o chaste_a conversation_n therefore_o they_o also_o be_v protect_v by_o the_o lord_n whosoever_o shall_v do_v on_o this_o wise_a be_v honour_v with_o the_o lord_n and_o their_o place_n be_v among_o the_o angel_n if_o they_o unto_o it_o we_o must_v be_v convert_v to_o a_o divine_a and_o just_a course_n of_o life_n and_o look_v upon_o all_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n as_o none_o of_o we_o and_o not_o desire_v they_o for_o if_o we_o shall_v desire_v to_o possess_v they_o we_o be_v fall_v from_o the_o way_n of_o righteousness_n vi_o for_o thus_o say_v the_o lord_n no_o servant_n can_v serve_v two_o master_n 13_o if_o therefore_o we_o shall_v desire_v to_o serve_v god_n and_o mammon_n it_o will_v be_v without_o profit_n to_o we_o 26_o for_o what_o will_v it_o profit_v we_o if_o we_o shall_v gain_v the_o whole_a world_n and_o lose_v our_o own_o soul_n now_o this_o world_n and_o that_o to_o come_v be_v two_o enemy_n this_o call_v we_o to_o adultery_n and_o corruption_n to_o covetousness_n and_o to_o deceit_n but_o that_o command_v we_o to_o renounce_v these_o thing_n we_o can_v therefore_o be_v the_o friend_n of_o both_o but_o we_o must_v resolve_v by_o forsake_v one_o to_o enjoy_v the_o other_o and_o we_o think_v that_o it_o be_v better_a to_o hate_v the_o present_a thing_n as_o little_a short-lived_a and_o corruptible_a and_o to_o love_v those_o which_o be_v to_o come_v which_o be_v true_o good_a and_o incorruptible_a for_o if_o we_o do_v the_o will_n of_o christ_n we_o shall_v find_v rest_n but_o if_o not_o nothing_o shall_v deliver_v we_o from_o eternal_a punishment_n if_o we_o shall_v disobey_v his_o command_n for_o even_o thus_o say_v the_o scripture_n in_o the_o prophet_n ezekiel_n 20._o if_o noah_n job_n and_o daniel_n shall_v rise_v up_o they_o shall_v not_o deliver_v their_o child_n in_o captivity_n wherefore_o if_o such_o righteous_a man_n be_v not_o able_a by_o their_o righteousness_n to_o deliver_v their_o child_n how_o can_v we_o hope_v to_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n except_o we_o keep_v our_o baptism_n holy_a and_o undefiled_a or_o who_o shall_v be_v our_o advocate_n unless_o we_o shall_v be_v find_v to_o have_v do_v what_o be_v holy_a
