and_o no_o other_o faith_n can_v justify_v we_o but_o such_o a_o lively_a faith_n as_o abound_v in_o all_o the_o fruit_n of_o righteousness_n according_a as_o it_o have_v occasion_n and_o be_v assign_v why_o no_o wicked_a man_n can_v have_v a_o sure_a trust_n and_o confidence_n in_o god_n mercy_n for_o how_o can_v any_o man_n have_v this_o true_a faith_n this_o sure_a confidence_n in_o god_n 3_o that_o by_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n his_o sin_n be_v forgive_v and_o be_v reconcile_v to_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o to_o be_v partaker_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n by_o secret_a thought_n and_o counsel_n of_o a_o man_n but_o those_o who_o learn_v they_o from_o himself_o and_o by_o the_o same_o reason_n that_o we_o can_v know_v nothing_o of_o these_o matter_n without_o a_o revelation_n we_o can_v know_v no_o more_o neither_o than_o what_o be_v reveal_v which_o consideration_n alone_o be_v sufficient_a to_o overthrow_v this_o way_n of_o reason_v from_o a_o uncertain_a and_o lubricous_a because_o all_o these_o revelation_n and_o office_n of_o our_o saviour_n with_o their_o extent_n and_o virtue_n and_o manner_n of_o their_o execution_n depend_v upon_o the_o free_a counsel_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o can_v be_v know_v only_o by_o revelation_n indeed_o those_o who_o argue_v and_o reason_n from_o a_o acquaintance_n with_o the_o person_n of_o christ_n seem_v to_o be_v aware_a of_o this_o and_o therefore_o they_o endeavour_v to_o reduce_v the_o whole_a mystery_n of_o our_o redemption_n by_o christ_n to_o necessary_a cause_n that_o god_n can_v not_o do_v otherwise_o and_o that_o mankind_n can_v not_o be_v save_v in_o any_o other_o way_n which_o be_v enough_o to_o prejudice_v all_o wise_a man_n against_o the_o whole_a systeme_n of_o
