do_v make_v they_o to_o think_v of_o god_n presence_n no_o otherwise_o then_o as_o of_o the_o presence_n of_o a_o fearful_a judge_n how_o then_o can_v they_o call_v he_o father_n who_o conscience_n can_v as_o yet_o be_v thorough_o certify_v of_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o their_o sin_n yea_o so_o far_o off_o be_v it_o that_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a shall_v be_v give_v to_o prayer_n that_o even_o the_o godly_a be_v oftentimes_o backward_o therein_o and_o therefore_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n which_o bear_v witness_n to_o the_o heart_n and_o conscience_n of_o the_o godly_a that_o they_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n i_o say_v the_o same_o spirit_n help_v our_o infirmity_n and_o remove_v our_o backwardness_n and_o by_o good_a motion_n do_v stir_v we_o up_o and_o encourage_v we_o thereunto_o direct_v also_o our_o request_n according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n yea_o although_o we_o know_v not_o how_o to_o pray_v or_o what_o to_o pray_v as_o we_o ought_v or_o with_o what_o earnestness_n of_o mind_n for_o all_o these_o matter_n be_v strange_a to_o flesh_n and_o blood_n yet_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n itself_o make_v request_n for_o we_o and_o that_o with_o such_o sigh_n and_o groan_n which_o can_v be_v express_v we_o see_v therefore_o how_o that_o prayer_n be_v a_o true_a mark_n of_o the_o certainty_n of_o our_o adoption_n and_o so_o much_o the_o more_o by_o that_o we_o shall_v feel_v ourselves_o often_o give_v thereunto_o and_o often_o to_o use_v it_o in_o all_o reverence_n and_o humility_n and_o earnestness_n especial_o when_o we_o feel_v the_o motion_n of_o god_n good_a spirit_n to_o move_v we_o thereunto_o as_o also_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a may_v know_v themselves_o to_o be_v far_o from_o adoption_n because_o they_o neither_o feel_v any_o such_o motion_n be_v overcome_v of_o the_o devil_n temptation_n and_o be_v also_o most_o backward_o &_o most_o unwilling_a to_o bow_v their_o knee_n and_o to_o humble_v their_o heart_n the_o second_o especial_a note_n or_o mark_n whereby_o they_o that_o be_v the_o adopt_a child_n of_o god_n be_v discern_v and_o know_v from_o they_o which_o be_v not_o adopt_v be_v that_o in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o adopt_a there_o be_v such_o affection_n to_o godward_n which_o child_n affection_n godly_a and_o christian_a affection_n ought_v to_o bear_v to_o their_o father_n namely_o love_n fear_v reverence_n obedience_n thankfulness_n for_o they_o call_v not_o upon_o god_n as_o upon_o a_o terrible_a judge_n but_o as_o upon_o a_o merciful_a and_o love_a father_n and_o these_o affection_n they_o have_v not_o who_o sathanillude_v and_o abuse_v with_o a_o fantastical_a imagination_n of_o their_o salvation_n for_o it_o may_v be_v that_o through_o hypocrisy_n or_o through_o custom_n they_o may_v call_v god_n father_n but_o in_o truth_n and_o from_o the_o heart_n they_o can_v do_v so_o deceive_v themselves_o think_v that_o they_o belong_v to_o god_n when_o as_o another_o day_n they_o shall_v find_v clean_o contrary_a for_o the_o trial_n of_o these_o thing_n i_o mean_v whether_o we_o love_v and_o fear_v god_n aright_o as_o we_o ought_v to_o do_v and_o as_o it_o become_v the_o adopt_a child_n of_o god_n be_v perceive_v in_o a_o godly_a and_o christian_a life_n for_o they_o that_o feel_v their_o heart_n set_v to_o seek_v god_n honour_n and_o who_o study_n to_o know_v his_o will_n and_o commandment_n and_o frame_v themselves_o thereunto_o lead_v their_o life_n not_o after_o the_o desire_n of_o the_o flesh_n to_o serve_v the_o devil_n by_o sin_n but_o set_v their_o mind_n to_o love_n honour_n obey_v and_o serve_v god_n for_o god_n own_o sake_n and_o for_o his_o sake_n also_o to_o love_v their_o neighbour_n whether_o they_o be_v friend_n or_o foe_n do_v good_a to_o every_o one_o as_o opportunity_n serve_v and_o willing_o hurt_v no_o man_n such_o may_v well_o rejoice_v in_o god_n perceive_v by_o the_o trade_n of_o their_o life_n that_o they_o unfeigned_o have_v the_o son_n shall_v not_o in_o time_n to_o come_v be_v constrain_v to_o divide_v the_o inheritance_n with_o his_o brethren_n whereby_o the_o love_n of_o god_n abound_v towards_o we_o who_o have_v one_o
