naught_o the_o counsel_n of_o god_n so_o you_o have_v it_o in_o prov._n 1._o to_o account_v the_o blood_n of_o the_o covenant_n a_o common_a thing_n that_o be_v the_o first_o way_n but_o if_o he_o can_v prevail_v that_o way_n but_o the_o lord_n do_v shine_v through_o all_o mist_n and_o ill_a conceit_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o show_v unto_o the_o soul_n the_o excellency_n and_o beauty_n of_o his_o son_n and_o of_o the_o glorious_a thing_n that_o be_v in_o the_o gospel_n then_o the_o devil_n come_v the_o other_o way_n indeed_o say_v he_o there_o be_v glorious_a thing_n but_o thou_o be_v unworthy_a thou_o be_v a_o wretched_a base_a vile_a creature_n and_o can_v thou_o think_v that_o god_n shall_v grant_v such_o thing_n as_o these_o to_o thou_o now_o the_o lord_n answer_v this_o objection_n what_o say_v god_n come_v without_o money_n what_o be_v that_o that_o be_v though_o thou_o have_v no_o worthiness_n in_o thyself_o though_o thou_o have_v no_o a_o bility_n to_o buy_v any_o this_o point_n may_v cause_v abundance_n of_o humiliation_n to_o our_o heart_n cause_n exceed_v sad_a thought_n if_o this_o be_v so_o that_o one_o mercy_n of_o god_n make_v way_n to_o another_o one_o mercy_n if_o it_o be_v sanctify_v and_o have_v the_o blessing_n of_o god_n with_o it_o it_o be_v a_o door_n of_o hope_n to_o another_o hence_o when_o we_o look_v backward_o to_o these_o way_n of_o god_n mercy_n that_o have_v be_v heretofore_o towards_o we_o and_o look_v to_o the_o oppertunity_n that_o we_o have_v have_v of_o obtain_v further_o mercy_n from_o god_n and_o consider_v how_o we_o have_v lose_v they_o when_o god_n be_v in_o a_o way_n with_o we_o oh_o that_o shall_v draw_v tear_n of_o blood_n from_o we_o look_v back_o to_o thy_o life_n i_o suppose_v there_o be_v never_o one_o in_o this_o congregation_n but_o in_o look_v back_o to_o the_o way_n of_o god_n providence_n to_o they_o they_o can_v but_o cry_v oh_o the_o lord_n be_v once_o in_o a_o way_n of_o mercy_n to_o i_o there_o be_v a_o time_n that_o certain_o god_n be_v merciful_a to_o i_o nay_o not_o only_o in_o outwad_n mercy_n such_o and_o such_o deliverance_n i_o have_v at_o such_o a_o time_n oh_o have_v i_o follow_v those_o mercy_n what_o may_v i_o have_v get_v when_o i_o be_v cry_v to_o god_n for_o deliverance_n god_n hear_v i_o god_n have_v deliver_v i_o deliver_v my_o family_n now_o god_n as_o it_o be_v be_v in_o a_o way_n of_o mercy_n to_o i_o o_o have_v i_o follow_v that_o then_o what_o may_v i_o have_v get_v but_o i_o neglect_v the_o opportunity_n i_o lose_v it_o and_o now_o god_n be_v in_o another_o way_n with_o i_o but_o especial_o when_o you_o look_v back_o to_o the_o opportunity_n that_o you_o have_v have_v for_o the_o good_a of_o your_o soul_n have_v not_o god_n many_o time_n be_v in_o a_o way_n of_o mercy_n to_o your_o soul_n oh_o be_v not_o there_o such_o a_o time_n when_o you_o begin_v to_o have_v frequent_a working_n of_o god_n spirit_n in_o you_o you_o begin_v to_o have_v light_o dart_v into_o your_o conscience_n to_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n draw_v your_o heart_n that_o when_o you_o come_v to_o the_o word_n you_o find_v the_o word_n come_v with_o power_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n seal_v it_o and_o your_o heart_n do_v begin_v to_o yield_v and_o to_o melt_v before_o god_n oh_o what_o may_v you_o have_v get_v if_o you_o have_v go_v on_o if_o you_o have_v follow_v god_n in_o those_o conviction_n of_o conscience_n and_o in_o those_o beginning_n of_o trouble_n you_o have_v and_o working_n of_o god_n spirit_n what_o may_v you_o have_v come_v to_o now_o there_o be_v a_o door_n of_o hope_n but_o fool_n and_o wretched_a man_n to_o stick_v in_o the_o birth_n and_o come_v not_o forth_o and_o alas_o may_v not_o many_o say_v oh_o that_o i_o have_v a_o door_n of_o hope_n there_o be_v such_o a_o mercy_n of_o god_n towards_o i_o but_o woe_n to_o i_o the_o door_n be_v shut_v i_o find_v my_o heart_n shut_v up_o and_o my_o conscience_n shut_v up_o and_o at_o such_o a_o time_n follow_v god_n when_o he_o be_v in_o a_o way_n of_o mercy_n if_o it_o may_v be_v when_o god_n be_v in_o a_o way_n of_o mercy_n to_o thou_o thou_o have_v have_v a_o heart_n to_o go_v into_o thy_o closet_n and_o there_o cry_v to_o god_n to_o follow_v on_o that_o good_a work_n that_o he_o have_v begin_v and_o to_o make_v it_o effectual_a to_o thou_o this_o have_v be_v a_o gracious_a work_n to_o thy_o soul_n but_o thou_o wente_v away_o into_o thy_o shop_n into_o thy_o call_n perhaps_o into_o the_o tavern_n or_o alehouse_n to_o thy_o game_n to_o thy_o company_n and_o so_o nâ—glectedest_v the_o day_n of_o grace_n there_o be_v a_o door_n of_o hope_n but_o there_o be_v another_o door_n thou_o have_v a_o mind_n rather_o to_o follow_v than_o to_o follow_v god_n in_o the_o way_n of_o mercy_n i_o will_v not_o say_v that_o there_o be_v no_o door_n of_o hope_n for_o thou_o for_o there_o may_v be_v a_o door_n of_o hope_n but_o this_o i_o will_v say_v that_o thy_o condition_n be_v a_o lamentable_a and_o most_o grievous_a condition_n and_o thou_o have_v need_v look_n to_o it_o for_o this_o consideration_n sink_v the_o heart_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n afterward_o if_o thou_o shall_v come_v to_o thy_o sick_a bed_n or_o death_n bed_n perhaps_o thy_o conscience_n will_v preach_v that_o to_o thou_o that_o now_o i_o be_o preach_v to_o thou_o and_o then_o thy_o conscience_n will_v give_v ananswer_n it_o be_v true_a there_o be_v a_o door_n of_o hope_n open_v to_o i_o and_o then_o if_o any_o minister_n come_v to_o offer_v mercy_n i_o you_o will_v say_v it_o be_v for_o those_o that_o have_v a_o time_n of_o mercy_n but_o god_n do_v open_v my_o heart_n and_o i_o do_v shut_v my_o heart_n against_o he_o and_o these_o thought_n and_o conclusion_n be_v the_o despair_a and_o sink_v thought_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n upon_o their_o sick_a bed_n and_o if_o god_n never_o have_v be_v come_v towards_o i_o there_o may_v have_v be_v some_o hope_n but_o what_o hope_n be_v there_o now_o for_o i_o oh_o take_v heed_n for_o time_n to_o come_v any_o of_o you_o if_o god_n be_v come_v in_o a_o way_n of_o mercy_n if_o this_o day_n by_o the_o word_n at_o this_o learn_v this_o use_v 5._o if_o one_o mercy_n be_v but_o a_o inlet_n to_o another_o mercy_n than_o this_o shall_v teach_v all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n to_o be_v content_a to_o bear_v one_o affliction_n though_o it_o be_v but_o a_o way_n make_v for_o another_o affliction_n the_o argument_n run_v thus_o it_o be_v true_a there_o come_v a_o affliction_n and_o by_o and_o by_o another_o and_o that_o make_v way_n for_o another_o and_o so_o the_o cloud_n rise_v after_o the_o rain_n and_o how_o many_o poor_a weak_a heart_n be_v plunge_v and_o deject_v they_o can_v bear_v one_o affliction_n i_o but_o when_o another_o come_v and_o another_o come_v at_o length_n they_o fall_v down_o under_o the_o weight_n of_o their_o affliction_n but_o if_o thou_o be_v one_o that_o belong_v to_o god_n and_o have_v the_o assurance_n of_o this_o point_n that_o i_o have_v this_o day_n be_v preach_v to_o thou_o then_o use_v it_o as_o a_o argument_n to_o uphold_v thy_o heart_n it_o be_v true_a one_o affliction_n come_v after_o another_o and_o one_o affliction_n make_v way_n for_o another_o and_o have_v not_o one_o mercy_n come_v after_o another_o too_o and_o have_v not_o one_o mercy_n make_v way_n for_o another_o too_o i_o be_o sure_a i_o have_v have_v mercy_n thick_a and_o three_o fold_n and_o one_o have_v make_v way_n for_o another_o and_o though_o i_o have_v new_a affliction_n make_v way_n one_o for_o another_o yet_o let_v i_o bear_v they_o considere_v how_o long_o a_o time_n i_o have_v have_v mercy_n make_v way_n one_o for_o another_o yet_o further_o in_o the_o sixth_o place_n the_o sixth_o use_n of_o this_o may_v be_v of_o great_a consequence_n too_o use_v 6._o that_o if_o this_o be_v the_o way_n of_o god_n towards_o his_o people_n that_o one_o mercy_n shall_v make_v way_n for_o another_o than_o it_o shall_v be_v the_o way_n of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n towards_o he_o again_o that_o one_o duty_n shall_v make_v way_n for_o another_o duty_n there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o reason_n for_o it_o if_o god_n be_v thus_o gracious_a to_o we_o that_o one_o mercy_n make_v way_n for_o another_o than_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o thankful_a to_o he_o that_o one_o duty_n
