in_o hear_v of_o the_o word_n and_o some_o comfort_n in_o meditation_n its_o wonder_n to_o see_v what_o a_o change_n this_o will_v work_v in_o the_o spirit_n he_o forthwith_o begin_v to_o abandon_v his_o loose_a course_n and_o set_v himself_o to_o a_o more_o strict_a course_n than_o he_o begin_v to_o see_v his_o acquisite_a learning_n be_v but_o a_o small_a matter_n to_o edification_n he_o prize_v his_o spiritual_a gift_n and_o he_o be_v able_a now_o to_o do_v much_o and_o when_o a_o man_n heart_n be_v thus_o change_v by_o prophetical_a gift_n it_o work_v in_o a_o man_n such_o confidence_n in_o his_o soul_n that_o he_o think_v all_o the_o congregation_n shall_v perish_v before_o he_o can_v perish_v and_o if_o minister_n may_v be_v thus_o deceive_v by_o common_a gift_n and_o grace_n how_o much_o more_o may_v their_o poor_a hearer_n be_v deceive_v when_o they_o by_o hear_v the_o word_n find_v such_o comfort_n and_o illumination_n and_o inlargement_n that_o they_o thereby_o find_v a_o great_a change_n wrought_v in_o they_o and_o yet_o if_o minister_n may_v be_v so_o much_o deceive_v in_o presume_v vain_o of_o their_o good_a estate_n which_o be_v not_o so_o then_o much_o deceive_v you_o a_o man_n may_v have_v all_o these_o and_o yet_o not_o prize_n christ_n at_o his_o chief_a good_a he_o may_v have_v all_o these_o and_o yet_o not_o worship_v he_o notwithstanding_o all_o these_o there_o may_v be_v some_o iniquity_n in_o their_o hand_n for_o which_o cause_n god_n will_v not_o show_v mercy_n to_o they_o see_v and_o observe_v if_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o these_o you_o do_v not_o work_v some_o iniquity_n they_o be_v worker_n of_o iniquity_n always_o at_o the_o best_a matth._n 7.23_o you_o may_v be_v worker_n of_o iniquity_n notwithstanding_o all_o they_o be_v always_o find_v with_o some_o sin_n which_o if_o a_o man_n do_v not_o wilful_o shut_v his_o eye_n against_o he_o may_v see_v for_o our_o saviour_n speak_v of_o such_o a_o sin_n in_o they_o as_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n may_v know_v they_o to_o be_v counterfeit_n from_o verse_n 15_o to_o 23._o you_o shall_v know_v they_o by_o this_o do_v man_n gather_v grape_n of_o be_v obedient_a to_o god_n to_o the_o death_n only_o we_o require_v this_o back_n again_o of_o god_n that_o as_o we_o give_v up_o ourselves_o a_o sacrifice_n to_o he_o so_o that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n may_v be_v impute_v unto_o we_o and_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n may_v be_v communicate_v to_o we_o his_o life_n of_o righteousness_n and_o holiness_n and_o covenant_n with_o god_n he_o call_v they_o his_o people_n and_o saint_n thus_o you_o see_v what_o it_o be_v and_o wherein_o this_o covenant_n stand_v sometime_o some_o branch_n of_o this_o be_v express_v in_o other_o covenant_n god_n promise_v to_o abraham_n that_o he_o will_v be_v a_o god_n to_o he_o that_o be_v he_o will_v not_o only_o be_v a_o good_a father_n to_o he_o nor_o only_o a_o good_a master_n or_o tutor_n nor_o only_o a_o good_a king_n nor_o a_o good_a physician_n but_o what_o soever_o be_v good_a that_o be_v in_o god_n and_o it_o be_v but_o a_o drop_n but_o a_o spark_n of_o the_o wellspring_n of_o life_n in_o he_o all_o the_o goodness_n that_o be_v disperse_v in_o the_o creature_n flow_v from_o he_o there_o be_v goodness_n in_o a_o good_a father_n or_o magistrate_n or_o minister_n or_o friend_n but_o when_o god_n undertake_v to_o be_v a_o god_n to_o we_o he_o promise_v to_o be_v to_o we_o whatsoever_o be_v good_a in_o the_o creature_n a_o good_a father_n a_o good_a friend_n a_o good_a physician_n whatever_o be_v good_a for_o soul_n and_o body_n he_o will_v be_v all_o in_o all_o to_o we_o and_o that_o partly_o in_o his_o own_o person_n and_o partly_o in_o so_o order_v matter_n part_n extent_n of_o the_o covenant_n on_o god_n part_n that_o all_o those_o thing_n wherein_o his_o goodness_n be_v communicate_v he_o will_v so_o dispose_v they_o that_o we_o shall_v see_v a_o goodness_n of_o god_n in_o they_o all_o we_o shall_v see_v the_o presence_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n in_o all_o the_o blessing_n we_o partake_v in_o this_o world_n he_o will_v be_v whatsoever_o be_v needful_a for_o we_o in_o every_o kind_n and_o though_o any_o mean_n shall_v fail_v yet_o god_n will_v not_o fail_v we_o this_o do_v we_o desire_v of_o god_n he_o god_n a_o fountain_n of_o goodness_n to_o he_o when_o we_o desire_v he_o to_o be_v our_o god_n god_n be_v a_o heap_n and_o fountain_n of_o goodness_n and_o he_o undertake_v so_o to_o be_v we_o now_o as_o we_o wait_v upon_o he_o for_o all_o that_o which_o he_o have_v promise_v we_o to_o expect_v it_o and_o to_o wait_v for_o it_o and_o when_o we_o undertake_v to_o be_v obedient_a to_o he_o not_o that_o we_o promise_v it_o in_o our_o own_o name_n and_o for_o our_o own_o part_n but_o in_o the_o behalf_n of_o every_o soul_n that_o belong_v to_o we_o as_o we_o desire_v a_o blessing_n upon_o all_o that_o belong_v to_o we_o so_o we_o offer_v up_o ourselves_o to_o god_n and_o our_o wife_n and_o child_n part_n extent_n of_o the_o covenant_n on_o our_o part_n and_o servant_n and_o kindred_n and_o acquaintance_n and_o all_o that_o be_v under_o our_o reach_n either_o by_o way_n of_o subordination_n or_o co-ordination_a so_o far_o as_o in_o our_o power_n we_o may_v reach_v either_o by_o commandment_n or_o counsel_n we_o do_v as_o much_o as_o in_o we_o lie_v promise_n to_o god_n that_o we_o and_o our_o household_n will_v serve_v the_o lord_n josh_n 24.15_o he_o and_o his_o household_n
