christ_n consider_v with_o all_o these_o be_v that_o spiritual_a bread_n that_o be_v type_v by_o the_o material_a and_o without_o these_o he_o can_v be_v the_o bread_n of_o life_n to_o a_o sinful_a soul_n so_o that_o if_o there_o be_v any_o transubstantiation_n in_o this_o sacrament_n either_o the_o bread_n be_v turn_v into_o all_o these_o or_o all_o these_o into_o the_o bread_n 3_o the_o use_n of_o wine_n be_v well_o know_v it_o do_v not_o only_o as_o water_n quench_v the_o thirst_n but_o also_o exceed_o comfort_v the_o heart_n and_o refresh_v the_o spirit_n see_v then_o it_o be_v the_o pleasure_n of_o our_o saviour_n in_o this_o sacrament_n to_o make_v wine_n the_o type_n of_o his_o blood_n it_o teach_v we_o what_o effect_n christ_n blood_n and_o the_o shed_v thereof_o shall_v have_v in_o the_o soul_n of_o all_o true_a christian_n and_o worthy_a communicant_n their_o spiritual_a thirst_n after_o righteousness_n and_o salvation_n shall_v be_v quench_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o the_o horror_n and_o terror_n of_o death_n and_o hell_n they_o shall_v by_o mean_n thereof_o be_v solace_v and_o comfort_v this_o blood_n stream_v from_o the_o side_n of_o christ_n shall_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o their_o sorrow_n &_o grief_n and_o trouble_n and_o vexation_n be_v as_o a_o cup_n of_o the_o excellent_a wine_n to_o cheer_v they_o &_o revive_v their_o spirit_n and_o to_o inflame_v their_o zeal_n this_o wine_n have_v that_o efficasie_a and_o force_n in_o it_o that_o it_o will_v turn_v all_o the_o bitter_a potion_n that_o god_n child_n use_v to_o drink_v into_o wine_n the_o apostle_n of_o our_o saviour_n when_o they_o be_v drink_v deep_o of_o the_o whip_n this_o wine_n mingle_v with_o that_o bitter_a potion_n turn_v it_o also_o into_o wine_n insomuch_o as_o they_o rejoice_v that_o they_o be_v count_v worthy_a to_o suffer_v that_o which_o they_o do_v for_o christ_n sake_n that_o religion_n therefore_o which_o lock_n from_o the_o people_n the_o wine_n in_o this_o sacrament_n do_v therein_o also_o as_o much_o as_o lies_z in_o it_o keep_v from_o they_o also_o that_o wine_n which_o be_v type_v and_o shadow_v thereby_o even_o the_o precious_a blood_n of_o jesus_n those_o therefore_o who_o be_v the_o redeem_v of_o christ_n must_v be_v knit_v and_o unite_v to_o christ_n and_o one_o with_o he_o as_o the_o bread_n that_o nourish_v and_o the_o wine_n that_o refresh_v the_o body_n be_v turn_v into_o our_o flesh_n and_o make_v one_o with_o it_o this_o sacrament_n then_o which_o seal_v so_o great_a a_o mystery_n as_o this_o be_v can_v be_v profane_v try_v and_o examine_v 2_o this_o duty_n of_o try_v and_o examine_v a_o man_n self_n be_v of_o use_n to_o the_o best_a of_o christian_n for_o many_o time_n none_o feel_v in_o themselves_o more_o want_n of_o grace_n than_o they_o do_v none_o be_v more_o deject_a with_o the_o sense_n and_o feel_n of_o their_o defect_n than_o they_o be_v and_o many_o time_n they_o think_v they_o want_v those_o grace_n most_o with_o which_o their_o soul_n be_v most_o rich_o adorn_v and_o thus_o much_o of_o the_o first_o duty_n which_o the_o apostle_n propound_v as_o a_o special_a mean_n to_o prevent_v the_o profane_v of_o this_o sacrament_n chap._n viii_o of_o the_o continuance_n in_o trial_n till_o we_o find_v that_o we_o seek_v for_o the_o other_o duty_n propound_v by_o the_o apostle_n but_o implicit_o be_v that_o we_o give_v not_o over_o try_v and_o search_v of_o ourselves_o until_o we_o find_v these_o grace_n in_o us._n for_o the_o apostle_n require_v of_o he_o that_o examine_v himself_o that_o he_o eat_v of_o this_o bread_n and_o drink_v of_o this_o cup._n what_o be_v he_o to_o do_v this_o whether_o in_o this_o search_n and_o trial_n he_o shall_v find_v any_o grace_n in_o himself_o or_o with_o out_o fail_v find_v the_o king_n pardon_n or_o if_o a_o needy_a beggar_n be_v inform_v that_o if_o he_o will_v seek_v and_o search_v narrow_o in_o such_o a_o place_n he_o shall_v be_v sure_a to_o find_v such_o treasure_n of_o gold_n and_o silver_n as_o will_v make_v he_o a_o rich_a man_n as_o long_o as_o he_o live_v will_v any_o man_n pity_v either_o the_o poverty_n of_o the_o one_o or_o the_o death_n of_o the_o other_o if_o they_o shall_v refuse_v in_o those_o case_n to_o take_v pain_n to_o search_v much_o less_o be_v such_o to_o be_v pity_v that_o may_v find_v save_v grace_n if_o they_o will_v seek_v for_o it_o can_v there_o be_v a_o great_a sign_n of_o a_o man_n that_o despise_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n then_o in_o such_o a_o case_n as_o this_o be_v not_o to_o seek_v after_o it_o when_o a_o man_n may_v be_v sure_a to_o have_v it_o for_o the_o seek_v after_o here_o we_o may_v note_v by_o the_o way_n that_o the_o apostle_n do_v not_o only_o tie_v the_o duty_n of_o examination_n to_o the_o receive_n of_o this_o sacrament_n but_o also_o the_o receive_n of_o this_o sacrament_n to_o the_o duty_n of_o examination_n not_o that_o we_o shall_v never_o examine_v ourselves_o but_o before_o the_o receive_n of_o this_o sacrament_n or_o upon_o this_o occasion_n only_o but_o that_o do_v it_o upon_o this_o occasion_n we_o shall_v then_o after_o the_o do_n of_o it_o receive_v &_o not_o forsake_v the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n so_o that_o these_o point_n follow_v be_v plain_o teach_v unto_o we_o by_o the_o apostle_n 1_o that_o the_o danger_n of_o receive_v unwoorthy_o must_v not_o withhold_v we_o from_o receive_v this_o sacrament_n but_o must_v make_v we_o so_o much_o the_o more_o studious_a to_o use_v the_o mean_n of_o worthy_a receive_v the_o same_o so_o that_o the_o more_o dangerous_a it_o be_v to_o receive_v unworthy_o the_o more_o must_v we_o endeavour_v to_o be_v worthy_a receiver_n and_o hence_o the_o apostle_n infer_v this_o duty_n from_o the_o danger_n aforesaid_a as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v every_o christian_n stand_v bind_v to_o receive_v this_o sacrament_n yet_o see_v the_o danger_n of_o unworthy_a receive_n be_v so_o great_a our_o duty_n be_v the_o more_o careful_o to_o study_v how_o we_o may_v be_v worthy_a receiver_n 2_o that_o all_o christian_n which_o be_v bind_v to_o receive_v be_v bind_v to_o make_v this_o trial_n before_o they_o receive_v 3_o that_o after_o we_o have_v make_v this_o trial_n it_o be_v a_o sin_n not_o to_o receive_v this_o sacrament_n chap._n ix_o of_o the_o curse_n that_o follow_v the_o 2_o in_o special_a by_o show_v what_o sign_n and_o token_n of_o that_o curse_n be_v among_o the_o corinthian_n themselves_o the_o curse_n he_o first_o propound_v and_o second_o affix_v the_o special_a
