much_o to_o preserve_v the_o lyturgy_n and_o bring_v it_o into_o more_o profitable_a use_n and_o take_v off_o much_o of_o man_n offence_n and_o pardon_v we_o while_o we_o tell_v you_o this_o certain_a truth_n that_o if_o once_o it_o be_v know_v that_o you_o have_v a_o design_n to_o work_v out_o all_o prayer_n even_o those_o of_o the_o pulpit_n except_o such_o as_o you_o prescribe_v it_o will_v make_v many_o thousand_o people_n fear_v god_n to_o be_v averse_a to_o that_o which_o else_o they_o will_v have_v submit_v to_o and_o to_o distaste_v both_o your_o endeavour_n and_o we_o as_o if_o we_o be_v about_o draw_v they_o into_o so_o great_a a_o snare_n and_o as_o the_o proverb_n be_v you_o may_v as_o well_o think_v to_o make_v a_o coat_n for_o the_o moon_n as_o to_o make_v a_o lyturgy_n that_o shall_v be_v sufficient_o suit_v to_o the_o variety_n of_o place_n time_n subject_n accident_n without_o the_o liberty_n of_o intermix_v such_o prayer_n or_o exhortation_n as_o alteration_n and_o diversity_n require_v sect._n 2._o first_o it_o be_v doubtful_a whether_o god_n have_v give_v power_n to_o man_n to_o impose_v such_o siguificant_a sign_n ans._n which_o though_o they_o call_v they_o significant_a yet_o have_v in_o they_o no_o real_a goodness_n in_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o imposer_n themselves_o be_v call_v by_o they_o thing_n indifferent_a and_o therefore_o fall_v write_v that_o against_o the_o ceremony_n that_o never_o be_v answer_v that_o we_o know_v of_o but_o deserve_v your_o consideration_n sect._n 3_o ans._n before_o we_o give_v particular_a answer_n to_o these_o several_a reason_n it_o will_v be_v not_o unnecessary_a to_o lay_v down_o some_o certain_a general_a premise_n or_o rule_n which_o will_v be_v useful_a in_o our_o whole_a discourse_n first_o a_o power_n from_o christ_n to_o impose_v such_o thing_n on_o the_o church_n though_o the_o thing_n be_v lawful_a we_o must_v take_v heed_n how_o we_o acknowledge_v a_o usurp_v power_n by_o formal_a obedience_n 2._o a_o just_a power_n may_v impose_v they_o but_o to_o just_a end_n as_o the_o preservarion_n and_o success_n of_o the_o modified_a worship_n or_o ordinance_n and_o if_o they_o real_o
