by_o chance_n for_o god_n have_v admonish_v he_o hereof_o in_o a_o dream_n and_o also_o make_v his_o prophet_n a_o interpreter_n of_o the_o oracle_n and_o vision_n wherefore_o the_o fame_n of_o this_o matter_n ought_v to_o have_v be_v in_o perpetual_a remembrance_n amongst_o the_o chaldee_n the_o nephew_n of_o king_n nebuchadnezer_n forget_v this_o example_n do_v rage_n against_o the_o god_n of_o manifest_a light_n for_o if_o god_n do_v count_v king_n beltsazar_n inexcusable_a because_o he_o have_v a_o prophet_n once_o offer_v unto_o he_o what_o shall_v it_o avail_v we_o at_o this_o day_n to_o pretend_v these_o colourable_a excuse_n oh_o if_o i_o know_v certain_o which_o be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n i_o will_v straight_o way_n obey_v for_o god_n daily_o cry_v open_o and_o call_v we_o unto_o he_o and_o show_v the_o way_n but_o there_o be_v none_o that_o answer_v or_o follow_v or_o at_o the_o least_o very_a few_o therefore_o we_o ought_v diligent_o to_o consider_v the_o example_n of_o the_o king_n of_o babylon_n when_o we_o see_v that_o he_o be_v very_o diligent_a &_o yet_o in_o the_o mean_a season_n do_v not_o seek_v god_n as_o he_o ought_v wherefore_o he_o wander_v about_o the_o bush_n he_o see_v that_o he_o be_v take_v and_o that_o he_o can_v not_o escape_v god_n judgement_n but_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n he_o seek_v comfort_n at_o the_o mages_n and_o chaldee_n that_o be_v to_o say_v at_o the_o deceiver_n for_o they_o have_v be_v already_o find_v so_o to_o be_v once_o or_o twice_o as_o we_o have_v see_v before_o and_o this_o aught_o to_o have_v be_v publish_v and_o know_v unto_o all_o we_o see_v then_o that_o king_n beltsazar_n be_v blind_a because_o he_o shut_v his_o eye_n against_o the_o light_n offer_v as_o all_o the_o world_n be_v blind_a at_o this_o day_n almost_o because_o it_o do_v not_o wander_v in_o darkness_n but_o when_o the_o light_n be_v offer_v it_o shut_v the_o eye_n as_o though_o it_o refuse_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n and_o will_v cast_v and_o such_o like_a deceiver_n which_o do_v delude_v that_o nation_n with_o their_o enchantment_n hereof_o come_v it_o that_o now_o the_o queen_n say_v that_o there_o be_v a_o certain_a man_n name_v this_o king_n the_o common_a vice_n of_o all_o mankind_n that_o be_v that_o none_o do_v run_v out_o of_o the_o way_n but_o he_o which_o either_o flatter_v himself_o in_o ignorance_n or_o else_o that_o will_v have_v all_o light_n extinguish_v now_o whereas_o the_o queen_n say_v that_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o holy_a god_n be_v in_o daniel_n we_o have_v declare_v in_o a_o other_o place_n what_o be_v man_n thereby_o for_o it_o be_v no_o marvel_v though_o profane_a man_n do_v speak_v so_o because_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o discern_v betwixt_o the_o only_a god_n &_o the_o angel_n wherefore_o unto_o that_o glory_n which_o be_v purchase_v for_o we_o by_o the_o blood_n of_o thy_o only_o beget_v son_n amen_n 14_o in_o the_o decree_n of_o the_o watchman_n be_v the_o sentence_n and_o in_o the_o word_n of_o the_o holy_a one_o be_v the_o request_n to_o the_o intent_n that_o the_o live_a man_n may_v know_v that_o the_o most_o high_a have_v power_n over_o the_o kingdom_n of_o man_n and_o give_v it_o to_o who_o so_o ever_o he_o will_v and_o appoint_v over_o it_o the_o most_o abject_a among_o man_n god_n do_v confirm_v by_o this_o verse_n that_o which_o he_o have_v show_v in_o a_o dream_n to_o nebuchadnezer_n daniel_n therefore_o say_v that_o the_o king_n be_v certify_v of_o a_o matter_n of_o truth_n because_o it_o be_v decree_v before_o god_n and_o his_o angel_n the_o purpose_n be_v that_o to_o make_v they_o equal_a with_o god_n we_o know_v that_o god_n be_v the_o only_a judge_n and_o therefore_o that_o it_o pertain_v to_o he_o alone_o to_o decree_v and_o to_o pronounce_v what_o sentence_n he_o please_v if_o this_o be_v attribute_v to_o the_o angel_n so_o much_o seem_v to_o be_v take_v away_o from_o god_n high_a dignity_n for_o it_o be_v not_o meet_v for_o his_o majesty_n to_o admit_v any_o companion_n but_o we_o know_v by_o the_o scripture_n that_o it_o be_v no_o strange_a thing_n that_o god_n take_v his_o angel_n unto_o he_o not_o as_o equal_n but_o as_o minister_n to_o who_o yet_o he_o give_v so_o much_o honour_n that_o he_o will_v admit_v they_o to_o his_o counsel_n and_o so_o be_v the_o angel_n call_v god_n counsellor_n wherefore_o they_o be_v name_v in_o this_o place_n to_o decree_v with_o god_n not_o of_o themselves_o at_o their_o own_o pleasure_n but_o because_o they_o do_v subscribe_v unto_o god_n judgement_n and_o here_o must_v we_o note_v two_o person_n to_o be_v attribute_v unto_o they_o for_o in_o the_o first_o place_n daniel_n make_v they_o to_o subscribe_v unto_o god_n decree_n afterward_o he_o say_v that_o they_o require_v or_o demand_v and_o this_o may_v well_o be_v that_o the_o angel_n do_v require_v in_o their_o petition_n that_o all_o mortal_a creature_n may_v be_v abase_v that_o god_n alone_o may_v have_v the_o preeminence_n and_o that_o all_o thing_n may_v thus_o be_v bring_v down_o that_o obscure_a the_o glory_n of_o god_n it_o be_v meet_a and_o right_a that_o the_o angel_n require_v this_o continual_o see_v we_o know_v that_o there_o be_v nothing_o that_o they_o do_v more_o desire_n then_o that_o they_o themselves_o shall_v worship_n god_n and_o all_o creature_n with_o they_o and_o when_o they_o do_v see_v god_n authority_n to_o be_v diminish_v by_o man_n pride_n and_o arrogancy_n then_o doubtless_o they_o require_v this_o that_o god_n will_v bring_v down_o under_o his_o obedience_n and_o yoke_n those_o proud_a man_n that_o set_v up_o their_o creaste_n against_o he_o now_o do_v we_o see_v why_o daniel_n say_v that_o this_o sentence_n be_v in_o the_o decree_n of_o the_o watchman_n and_o in_o their_o word_n a_o request_n as_o though_o he_o shall_v say_v thou_o have_v all_o the_o angel_n thou_o adversary_n for_o with_o one_o consent_n and_o as_o it_o be_v with_o one_o mouth_n they_o do_v accuse_v thou_o before_o god_n that_o thou_o do_v obscure_v his_o glory_n as_o much_o as_o in_o thou_o lie_v and_o god_n agree_v to_o their_o request_n have_v decree_v to_o cast_v thou_o away_o and_o to_o make_v thou_o contemptible_a &_o shameful_a before_o all_o the_o world_n and_o this_o decree_n be_v ratify_v by_o all_o the_o angel_n as_o it_o be_v common_a with_o he_o and_o they_o for_o their_o consent_n and_o subscription_n may_v have_v some_o authority_n with_o this_o profane_a king_n and_o doubtless_o god_n as_o he_o do_v many_o time_n do_v now_o accommodate_v the_o vision_n to_o this_o man_n capacity_n who_o be_v never_o teach_v in_o the_o law_n but_o have_v only_o a_o confuse_a knowledge_n of_o the_o divinity_n so_o that_o he_o do_v not_o discern_v betwixt_o god_n and_o the_o angel_n and_o yet_o this_o sentence_n be_v also_o true_a that_o the_o sentence_n be_v publish_v by_o the_o common_a decree_n of_o all_o the_o heavenly_a army_n and_o that_o together_o by_o supplication_n and_o request_n because_o doubtless_o the_o angel_n do_v take_v it_o grievous_o that_o any_o thing_n shall_v be_v withdraw_v from_o god_n glory_n &_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v such_o madness_n in_o man_n that_o they_o will_v draw_v and_o catch_v to_o themselves_o that_o which_o be_v proper_a and_o peculiar_a to_o god_n alone_o this_o seem_v to_o be_v the_o true_a sense_n and_o so_o that_o which_o follow_v depend_v well_o hereof_o that_o mortal_a man_n may_v know_v that_o god_n have_v power_n over_o the_o kingdom_n of_o man_n for_o daniel_n do_v note_v the_o end_n of_o their_o request_n that_o the_o angel_n will_v have_v god_n authority_n to_o remain_v whole_o to_o himself_o and_o that_o nothing_o shall_v be_v take_v away_o therefrom_o by_o man_n churlish_a ingratitude_n for_o man_n can_v challenge_v to_o himself_o never_o so_o little_a but_o he_o rob_v god_n of_o his_o due_a praise_n and_o glory_n therefore_o do_v the_o angel_n crave_v of_o god_n continual_o that_o he_o will_v cast_v down_o all_o the_o proud_a and_o that_o he_o will_v not_o suffer_v himself_o to_o be_v defraud_v of_o his_o authority_n but_o that_o all_o power_n may_v remain_v god_n be_v spoil_v of_o his_o right_n except_o he_o be_v acknowledge_v to_o be_v the_o ruler_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o man_n that_o be_v in_o the_o earth_n that_o he_o may_v humble_v who_o he_o please_v so_o be_v it_o also_o say_v in_o the_o psalm_n power_n be_v neither_o from_o the_o east_n nor_o from_o the_o west_n but_o from_o the_o heaven_n 113.6_o and_o in_o a_o other_o place_n also_o destitute_a of_o wisdom_n but_o king_n darius_n alone_o shall_v be_v sufficient_a at_o the_o great_a day_n to_o condemn_v they_o who_o have_v so_o great_a a_o judgement_n that_o he_o doubt_v not_o slothful_a negligence_n which_o refuse_v and_o cast_v away_o from_o they_o all_o care_n and_o will_v take_v no_o pain_n therefore_o be_v they_o compel_v to_o commit_v the_o government_n unto_o other_o retain_v only_o the_o title_n to_o themselves_o these_o thing_n as_o i_o have_v say_v be_v certain_a token_n of_o god_n wrath_n because_o the_o world_n be_v unworthy_a that_o god_n shall_v stretch_v forth_o his_o hand_n to_o govern_v it_o now_o as_o concern_v the_o envy_n of_o the_o noble_n we_o see_v that_o this_o vice_n have_v reign_v in_o all_o age_n that_o they_o despise_v virtue_n which_o do_v ambitious_o aspire_v to_o honour_n for_o sing_v they_o be_v guilty_a in_o their_o own_o conscience_n they_o can_v not_o but_o hate_v the_o virtue_n of_o other_o yet_o this_o may_v be_v though_o example_n we_o may_v see_v what_o come_v of_o envy_n and_o this_o be_v diligent_o to_o be_v note_v because_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o easy_a then_o to_o fall_v from_o one_o vice_n to_o a_o
